 Ruth, Judy (Allen) ALBANY ...... Judy Allen Ruth,
63, passed away peacefully
Monday, November 13, 2006 at home surrounded by her loving family and
many close, loving friends after a courageous three-year battle with
breast cancer. She was an inspiration to all those whose lives she
touched. Judy was born on July 26, 1943 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Jane Shepard Allen and George E. Allen. She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute and the Albany College of Pharmacy. She worked for many years as a certified medical technologist (ASCP) at Sterling Winthrop Research Institute and at Bender/St. Peter's Laboratories where she retired in 2005. She was a very devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother (NeNe) who always put family first in her life. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jack Ruth; her daughter and best friend, Kelli Ruth Flack; her caring son-in-law, Willie Flack III; and her two cherished grandchildren, William Tyler and Allison Judith Flack. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Patricia Ruth, Linda Mika and Kathleen Pfeiffer (Gene); and her nephew, Jan M. Mika Jr., all of Albany; and her many friends. Funeral services Friday 8:15 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to the Historic Church of St. Mary on Capitol Hill at 9:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. following the Mass. Those wishing to remember Judy in a special way may send a contribution to Northeastern New York Affiliate of the Susan G.
